The club is a recognised RYA Training Centre for both Dinghy Sailing and Powerboating and provides training for beginners and more experienced courses
which lead to Nationally recognised certificates. The Club has 4 Wayfarer Dinghies, 6 Topper dinghies and sailboards available
for use on training courses. Buoyancy aids are provided if necessary. Video is
used where appropriate. The Club also provides recognised powerboat training courses
using the club safety boats, ribs, Jeanneaus, and dories as appropriate. First Aid
courses are run as required. Windsurf courses are run when required Courses are open to anyone over the age of 12 years (except Junior Start
Sailing and Junior Sailing
week where you have to be under 16!) All courses are
competitively priced and are run by qualified Club instructors to RYA required safety standards.

* For these junior courses preference will be given to those who have parents able to assist with the running of the course (note that this assistance will not require any particular skill). To comply with our Child Protection Policy parent helpers will be required to complete a self declaration form. Subject to availability, courses are open to non members for the payment of the fee shown, £30 will be refunded if the Club is joined. Dinghy courses: The fee includes the certificate, logbook and handbooks where appropriate.
